Coronado Island is on a peninsula between the San Diego Bay and Pacific Ocean near downtown San Diego, California. It can be accessed by car via the San Diego- Coronado Bay Bridge, by ferry from downtown San Diego and by public bus transportation or shuttles and taxis. Known for its beautiful beaches, warm, sunny climate and Hotel del Coronado where Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon filmed “Some Like it Hot,” Coronado is certainly one of our favorite Southern California vacation spots.
